Patient History:

Beautiful young professional in her early thirties underwent a “Wedge” labiaplasty by her plastic surgeon colleague and friend. She had seen her surgeon for other cosmetic procedures in the past years. She was reassured that the labiaplasty was an easy procedure with few complications. A few weeks after her surgery her labial edges pulled apart and a large gap was seen on both sides. The sutures used were intact on the inside but pulled through the skin on the outside edges. Scalloped edges occurred on the labia. Her clitoral hood after surgery now looked quite large since a reduction of the minora had occurred. She came to Laguna Beach from another state requesting labial revision. She also realized that her labia majora was loose and prominent when she was standing and that her vaginal canal was quite lax resulting in reduced frictional forces inside the vagina.

Procedure Performed:

Barbie Look labia minora plasty, Labia majora plasty, clitoral hood reduction, radiosurgical resurfacing, Vaginoplasty, Perineoplasty.

Outcome:

A more youthful and pleasing appearance of her vulvar area and a tighter vaginal canal with increased friction during sex. Normal active exercise program after six weeks of recovery.
